The Great Dress - Colour Debate of 2015

This all began with someone posting a picture on Tumblr asking people what colour the dress was. There has been a really long debate as to what color the dress really is and has ruined many friendships because of constant arguing without scientific evidence. But now, thanks to Matthew A. Smith, a professor of ophthalmology and neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh, says that people don't see the reality behind this picture.

The scientific truth is that each of our brains see this picture in different ways. When we look at an object, it's colour doesn't only depend on the individual colour that it gives of, but also depends on the colours and objects surrounding that certain object. Everyone processes images differently, our brain and eyes are not the same as everyone else.

From what I instantly see in the picture, the dress is blue and black.

  1. So basically, I like the way you explained the whole story in a detailed way, and how you told about the reasons why different people see this dress in different ways. I personally think that the dress is white and gold, but I think the main idea is how smart Wesley Yamac is, and your paragraphs would be better if you talked about the legend...
