The great dress color debate

From receiving and learning about this very weird Internet debate, i have learnt that the color of the dress is actually blue and black. I still see white and gold in the original picture, but this is for a reason.

The picture shows very few details about the dress, and our brain has to guess the rest, to fill it in. Since we are all unique, our brains interpret the picture in different ways. If the blue and black light are ignored, then we see white and gold, but if we ignore the white and gold light, we see blue and black.
