This dress became a world wide debate. Some people see the dress as white and gold because your brain makes guesses. When there isn't enough information in the picture (like background color) your brain will make an automatic guess; Since the dress took up most of the picture the brain did not have enough supporting details to make out the actual color. As Professor Matthew A. Smith said "Our brain takes information from the world through our eyes then uses context to try to figure out what's going on" as I said before there wasn't enough context for the people that saw white and gold. Those peoples eyes did not process the blue background the same way the people that saw black and blue did. At the end the dress is originally black and blue.
